Deputy Principal

I cannot imagine a better occupation than the one I am in! I have been deputy principal at TPS for twelve years now – this time has flown by! I love working in this school with its very supportive staff and community, that every day is different, eventful, interesting and that learning is challenging, fascinating and can be such fun! Working with students and the very professional colleagues I teach with at TPS, is a privilege. I appreciate the sense of community at TPS, the history this school has and the pride past students have for this school. I work specifically with a wonderful class and syndicate of students in Year 5 and 6 and love seeing them become ever more capable and responsible for their own learning. Working with the school ECO Group continues to amaze me. I am inspired and so impressed by the passion these young people have for their environment and their efforts to make this community a better place for all who live in it. I also have responsibilities for Literacy, Science, Inquiry Learning - amongst others! When not at school I enjoy time with my family (it’s so nice to have half of my now adult children home after their OE and living nearby), catching up with friends and sharing time, wine and food with them – and trying to keep my fitness up! Gardening helps with this – and planting trees!
