Chess

Chess Club meets on a Monday 1pm-2pm in room 3.  Any child may join this group and the cost to parents is around $30 a term depending on how many children join. Leonard McLaren is our chess tutor.  Children can choose to join for a term only or longer if they wish.  Please contact the office for more information.

Mind Lab - a Thinking Skills Curriculum for Children

We have Mind Lab / Thinking Skills lessons on a Wednesday.  At Mind Lab, children are taught life skills they need to thrive in the world - both now and in the future.  Children are shown how to apply the strategies they need to win at board games to real life situations and problems.  They develop self-esteem and emotional management skills by frequently winning and losing, helping others, making mistakes and having another go armed with better knowledge - all within the supportive and 'safe' environment Mind Lab creates in all its classes.

Our Mind Lab tutor is Tiffany McIntyre. 

Our groups meet at the following times:- 9:15 - 10am year 5 & 6, 10:15am - 11am year 3 & 4 group 1, 11:30am-12:15pm year 3 & 4 group 2, 12:15-1pm year 1 & 2.

Kelly Sports lessons

These skill sessions are for year 1 to 4 children on Thursdays 3:10-4:10pm on the school netball courts.  Children learn basic sports skills to equip them for formal sports teams.  Contact ph 0800 535 598 or irene@kellysports.co.nz
